Comment: I've just started doing a little research, from a whim, as my mother and her family were evacuated to Leighton Buzzard from the Spring of 1942-1945, where she (Yvonne Irene Selby) and her parents (Ann & Arthur Blackburn) lived in two rooms at 14 Lake Street, I believe, formerly the old Manor House - plus Bonfield, she said, next door but one to the Unicorn Hotel. My grandfather's business, R. F. Hunter Ltd., was based in Gower Street, London WC1, but also, I believe, transferred to Leighton Buzzard for the duration of the war.
The Town Council have sent me a postcard of the Corn Exchange and Lake Street and I have already printed off the two photos of the hotel from your website.
I am going to arrange for my Mother to have a sitting at her local library, where she can be encouraged to have a go herself.

Comment: Great idea, unfortunately there is nothing for me on my particular interest, a house called THE RUSHING(S) which was situated in Gigg Lane, Heath & Reach but, one never knows, it might be forthcoming.
Will keep checking back to see.
