Transcript
In the name of God Amen. I Edward Coales of Billington
in the parishe of Laighton Bussard and Countie of Bedford beinge
weake and sicke in bodye but of perfect and sound remembrance doe
make this my last will and Testament in forme followeinge First
I bequeathe my soule to God, and my bodye to be buryed at the discretion
of my Executrix hereafter mentioned; And as for my Worldlye Goods
and Chattells I dispose of them as followeth. First I give unto
my sonne Edward Coales, Thirtie poundes to be paid unto him when
he shall come to the age of sixteene yeares. Item I give unto my
daughter in lawe Joane Lewes twelve pence; Item I give unto my
daughter in lawe Sarah Townsend twelve pence; Item I give unto
my brother William Coales five shillings; Item I give unto my brother
John Coales five shillings And for all other my goods and Chattells
unbequeathed, I give unto my loveinge wife Alice Coales (my debts
Legacies and Funerall charges discharged) whom I make sole Executrix
of this my last will and Testament in wittnes where of I have sett
to my hand and seale the First day of October One Thousand six
hundred Fortie Fower. Edward Coales his marke sealed and delivered
in the presence of John Turner. William Martyn. William Hogg.
