In the name of God Amen; I Henry Coole of Reache in the parrish of Laighton Bussard in the County of Beddf[ord] husbandman being sicke in bodie but imperfect memorie praysed be God doe make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following first I bequeath my soule to Almightie God my maker and to Jesus Christ my redeemer hopeing through the merritts of his death and passion to have everlasting \life/ And for my bodie to be decently buried in the Churchyard of Laighton aforesaid And for my worldly goods that the lord hath lent me as followeth Item I give and bequeath to Elizabeth my now wife the hundred pounds that Luke Meridale of great Brickhill oweth me Item I give to Elizabeth my wife the Close called Popes close lyeing in the parish of Bletchly and County of Buck[ingham] which I bought of Goodman Paine dureing her naturall life, and after her decease I give the said closse and all and singuler th'appurtenances thereunto belonging unto Richard Meade of Bragnam in the County of Buck[ingham] and to his heires for ever Item I give to Richard Coole the sonne of John Coole my brother twenty poundes to be equally divided betwixt his children Item I give to my Brother Michaell Cooles Children (except Elizabeth) six poundes apeece Item I give unto my Cosen William Cooles Children five poundes apeece I give unto my Sister Dorothies children which are unmarried five poundes apeece Item I give to my Cosen William Coole the sonne of John Coole \five poundes/ Item I give to Elizabeth Pearce my Cosen five pounds Item I give to my Cosen Humphrie Cooles five poundes Item I give to Mary Coole and Susan Cooles my Cosens being the daughters of John my brother five poundes apeece Item I give to Elizabeth Coole the daughter of Michaell my brother fifty poundes All theis legacies given to my brothers and Sisters children my will \is/ shalbe payed within one yeare after my decease Item I give to Elizabeth my wife all my sheepe and lambes and alsoe my two Cowes and that houshould stuffe which I had before I married my said wife which said househould stuffe my will is that Elizabeth Coole that is now with me my Cosen shall have after the decease of my said wife Item I give to the poore of Heath and Reach twenty shillings to be distributed at the discrec[i]on of my Executor Item I give to Alce Coole my Sister the wife of Michaell my brother fower poundes to be payed within one yeare after my decease All the rest of my goods and Chatles unbequeathed I give to Richard Meade of Bragnam my Master whome I make my whole executor to performe this my last will and Testament In wittnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the fowerteenth day of August and in the yeare of our Lord 1638.
