In the name of god amen. In the yere of o[u]r Lorde gode a Thousande fyve hundred fourty & two I Wylliam London in the towne of Layghton Boossord w[i]t[h]in the countie of Bedforth gentleman being of hole and p[er]fytt mynde / make this my last wyll and testament in forme folowing / First I bequeth my soule unto almightie god and unto his mother Mary / and to all the holy company of hevyn and my body to be buryed w[i]t[h]in the holy grounde next unto myn ansecry / Item I give unto the highe alter of my p[ar]ishe churche for tythes and oblacions forgotten or at any tyme to lytle iiijd / Item I give unto Nyne por householders to eche of them half a busshell of malte / Item I give unto Mary London my wyfe / all my howsse lands tenementes pastures meadowes / lying w[i]t[h]in the towne of Berry Seynt Edmund the whiche I the sayd William had of an Bartymew Baynam for an office in Calays whiche I dyd exchange w[i]t[h] hym for the sayd lande throughe the kinges lycence / the whiche I give unto Mary my wyfe and to her heres and assignes for ever / Also I give unto Mary my wyfe all my goods moveables and Emmoveables whiche I have in London or els where / Also I give to Mary my wyfe Thirty poundes of the whiche she shall receyve at the daye of the sealing of my patten of the foresaide Bartylmew Baynam Tenne poundes in laufull monye of England / and that daye Twelmoneth other Tenne poundes And the twelmonthe daye next ensuyng that / the last Tenne poundes / The whiche Mary my wife I make and ordeyne my sole Excecutrice / to receyve my dettes and paye my dettes / and to bring my body honestly to the holy grounde / In wytnes wherof Nicholas Medcalf prest William Holland John Wynter Richard Lee with othis mor.
