Falklands War - 1982

Neil GROSE was born in Stanbridge 11th June 1964 and resided there until 1966. Neil belonged to the B Company of 3rd Parachute Regiment and was involved in the battle for Mount Longdon, Falkland Isles on the 11th - 12th June 1982 (his 18th birthday). Tragically, during the battle, early on the 12th of June, he received a fatal wound to the chest.
